I started my Karate career in the early 70's under the founder and Chief Instructor of the South African  Goju Kai Karate Association Leo Lipinski and Stan Hart Sensei.  My dojo at that time was situated at the 52nd Stella Scout Hall in Umbilo Durban.  Karate was hard and many of the first black belts trained here and at the City Centre Dojo, 2nd Floor Radio House Gardiner Street.  During the 70's our senior black belts were, Stan Hart, Tony Eibraham, Ian McTavish, Vassie Naidoo President USA and Des Tuck .  Today the only practiceing students are myself, Adrian Maré (brother), Vassie Naidoo, Des Tuck and Tristam Burrell.
